The kitchen is the heart of your Atlantic Beach home. You’ll spend a good amount of time there every day, whether you’re cooking breakfast or dinner, or making snacks. It’s where your family gathers to share food and make memories that are important for your family history. The kitchen isn’t just another room; it’s the center of the home.
Kitchen remodels are the most popular renovation project among Atlantic Beach, NY homeowners. The kitchen is the focal point of your life, so it needs to work well and reflect your style. Here are some of the top reasons why you should consider a kitchen remodel.
We Offer Services To Help You Achieve Your Goals
Your kitchen layout may have been functional at one point, but over time, you’ll find that your needs change. If your family has grown, you’ll want a larger dining area. Once your kids are gone and you’re left alone, you’ll want to add a more sophisticated touch. Maybe you or a family member has developed a disability and need open space with lower countertops to accommodate wheelchairs. Whatever the case may be, remodeling your kitchen can ensure that any new needs are met and without the clutter of an outdated layout.
Enhance the Functionality
Sometimes, you may find that your kitchen doesn’t offer enough counter or storage space, or that the appliances are in awkward positions. A renovation can provide more cabinets, additional countertops, and a better-designed layout. Call an experienced Nassau County contractor to talk about your individual needs, so that we can create a kitchen design that will work for the way you want it to work.
To Improve the Aesthetic Appeal
Since you spend most of your time in the kitchen, it needs to be aesthetically pleasing for you. If today’s design doesn’t reflect your taste, if it looks archaic or rundown, then chances are that you’re not enjoying it as much as possible; in fact, even just thinking about stepping foot in the kitchen may make you feel uninspired and depressed. Who wants to walk into a drab room filled with colorless fixtures and outdated details?
When you remodel your kitchen, a contractor will be able to turn your old, tired space into a new, redesigned area. Whether you already have specific design ideas in mind or want to mix and match styles for an eclectic look, the contractor will breathe new life into the room by giving you a fresh, updated layout with enhanced features. Instead of dreading this often-used room of the house, you’ll be proud to show off your custom kitchen.
To reduce your carbon footprint
The planet is in need of a helping hand, and your kitchen may be doing more harm than good. If your appliances are all old, then they likely won’t meet current energy efficiency standards. The same goes for your light fixtures too.
Installing new appliances and light fixtures will significantly reduce the amount of electricity and gas you use. Low-flow faucets will reduce water usage. Eco-friendly materials such as IceStone counters made from recycled materials, or cork flooring, that are environmentally friendly, will help cut back on waste in landfills and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. And you’ll be able to save more money with a remodeled kitchen.
To Boost The Value of Your Property
One of the most important rooms in any house is the kitchen. The efficiency and attractiveness of this room directly impacts its value to a property, and if you’re ever thinking of selling your house, a remodeled kitchen will greatly increase the value of your property. The experts have found that for every $1,000 invested in your kitchen, you could see an estimated $5,400 in return from potential buyers. And when it comes to kitchens, new and improved appliances will both make cooking easier (so your family and friends can defrost their ice cream) but also look better than ever.
Being able to enjoy all the benefits of a kitchen remodeler Atlantic Beach service is easier than you think. If you’re in Nassau County and want to transform your kitchen, there are only two things you need to call: Reliable Home Remodeler and our team of professional tradespeople. Atlantic Beach is a village located off the South Shore of Long Island in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 United States Census, the village population was 1,707.
The first real interest in the barrier island of Atlantic Beach came in 1922 when Robert Moses, the famous highway builder and public works czar, and Chairman of the State Council of Parks, included Atlantic Beach as part of his “State Park Plan for New York”. The blueprint, which is on file at the archives in Albany, showed a parkway from central Queens to a bridge crossing Reynolds Channel with architecturally refined facilities for thousands of beach goers; however, cost overruns on many of Mr. Moses’ other projects at the time and other factors dampened his plans which were ultimately abandoned.
In 1923, the village’s first developer, Atlantic Beach Associates led by Stephen P. Pettit, a former Nassau County Sheriff and banker from Freeport, had dreams of creating a place that would rival the City of Long Beach, which was created by a Politician and amusement park operator named William H. Reynolds. He died just after buying land for 3,500 lots in Atlantic Beach.
In 1926, real estate tycoon William Austin, who graduated from Yale University with his associate, Charles N. Talbot Jr, formed Island Park Associates which purchased the land for $4,000,000. William Austin was married to Actress Josephine Sanders, better known as Irene Delroy; the wedding was officiated by Mayor James J. Walker on July 15, 1931. Austin and Talbot completed Pettit’s preliminary dredging and. shoring work, and proceeded to subdivide the property. They installed gas and electricity lines, and a sanitary sewer system was installed in 1927. They began selling land and building homes; the first 45 of the 150 homes they planned on building were financed using a mortgage from The Title Guarantee and Trust Company. The. homes were all designed with seven rooms, two baths, private detached garages on 48′ x 88′ lots and were built in a wide array of styles. Mr. Austin finished Petitt’s plan to build a bridge between Far Rockaway and Atlantic beach, which was opened and dedicated on June 29, 1927. A boardwalk was planned for the entire ocean side but, as constructed, it was about a mile long, stretching from west of The Plaza and extending beyond Vernon Avenue, and double the width of the boardwalk which exists today.
