Is It Time to Remodel Your Garden City, NY Kitchen?
The kitchen is the heart of your home. Not only does it serve as your place to prepare and enjoy meals with your loved ones, but you’ll also take time to relax where friends and family come visit for fun or when kids are studying for a test. The kitchen is also where you entertain, create memories with guests and make memories that last a lifetime. Even if you don’t have an open floorplan, the kitchen still plays an important role in this design.
When it comes to the kitchen, it’s pretty obvious if your needs aren’t fulfilled. If your kitchen is a stressful and hectic place, you might be feeling anxious or stressed on a regular basis. That is why designing a new space that is functional, easy to clean and aesthetically pleasing is such a popular home improvement project in Nassau County.
Here are some of the top signs that you should consider contacting a Nassau County contractor to discuss a time for a kitchen remodeling.
The Layout is Ineffective
The kitchen is a place for cooking, cleaning and designing; that’s why it needs to have an effective layout that meets your purposes. If the current floorplan doesn’t accommodate the way you use or would like to use the space, you’re going to end up feeling frustrated and frazzled. Quite possibly, you’ll knock into one another while prepping or cooking because you can’t easily access items when they’re needed.
The old layout of your space is more than just a nuisance, it can be downright dangerous! As a result, you should definitely consider remodeling the floorplan. A reputable Nassau County contractor will reconfigure the layout to meet your unique needs; specifically those that are easy, comfortable and safe.
If you’re struggling to get your kitchen designed and built, think about some of the missing components that could be prohibitively expensive without them. Storage space and prep space are two vital components that could help increase efficiency in your kitchen design.
Have you ever found yourself short on space in the kitchen? So many appliances and gadgets can get between your food, making it difficult to prep or cook at all! Preparing and cooking in a kitchen that has less countertop space is also not very aesthetically pleasing – there’s always something in the way, no matter how often you clean it.
Kitchen remodelerGarden City service is a great way to expand your efficiency in the kitchen. If limited on space, an experienced contractor will knock down walls or add new ones to increase the size of your kitchen.
It’s Tired and Worn Out
Sometimes your kitchen can end up looking outdated and worn out. If this is the case, updating it would be a worthwhile investment.
If your kitchen is outdated and worn down, you’re probably feeling a little depressed when you walk in the space. By remodeling your kitchen, you can create one-of-a-kind designs that perfectly suit your needs and taste. Garden City is an incorporated village in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population of the village was 22,371.
In 1869, the Irish-born millionaire Alexander Turney Stewart bought a portion of the lightly populated Hempstead Plains. In a letter, Stewart described his intentions for Garden City:
Having been informed that interested parties are circulating statements to the effect that my purpose in desiring to purchase the Hempstead Plains is to devote them to the erection of tenement houses, and public charities of a like character, etc. I consider it proper to state that my only object in seeking to acquire these lands is to devote them to the usual purposes for which such lands, so located, should be applied that is, open them by constructing extensive public roads, laying out the lands in parcels for sale to actual settlers, and erecting at various points attractive buildings and residences, so that a barren waste may speedily be covered by a population desirable in every respect as neighbour taxpayers and as citizens. In doing this I am prepared and would be willing to expend several millions of dollars.
The central attraction of the new community was the Garden City Hotel, designed by the acclaimed firm of McKim, Mead & White. Although the original structure, as well as that which replaced it at the end of the 19th century, were torn down years ago after a fire, a rebuilt hotel still stands on the original grounds, as do many nearby Victorian homes. Access to Garden City was provided by the Central Railroad of Long Island, another Stewart project which he undertook at the same time. The railroad’s Hempstead Branch opened in 1873.
