Things Are Falling Apart
Have your tiles cracked, chipped, or are some even missing? Does your toilet constantly run? How often do the faucets drip? Do you see crumbling grout? Anytime you answer ‘yes’ to any of these questions, it’s definitely time for a bathroom remodeling.
In addition to looking unsightly, falling apart bathrooms are also unsafe. In addition to the fact that using water unnecessarily is bad for the environment, someone can be injured by falling tiles while taking a shower or by an overflowing toilet. It is true that quick fixes may temporarily solve your problem, but they really only address part of the problem. The problem will eventually become bigger if you continue to bandage the problem when it needs a major repair. In addition, why risk harming yourself, others, or the environment? A bathroom remodeler Roslyn Estates can save you frustration and avoid potential harm by overhauling your Roslyn Estates bathroom.
High Humidity and Strange Odors
If your bathroom gets as hot as a sauna or it has a stale, musty odor, you’ve got a moisture problem. While upgrading the exhaust system could prove to be effective, if there’s a lingering odor, that’s a sign that high humidity levels have cause mold and mildew growth. These naturally occurring organisms can cause major destruction as they eat away at fibrous materials, such as the walls, flooring, and ceiling; they can also pose health risks. Depending on the amount of mold and mildew growth, a total bathroom overhaul is the only way to fix the issue and prevent further damage.

Your Utility Bills are Mysteriously High
Maybe you haven’t noticed, but your water and electric bills are rising each month. If that’s the case, then it’s possible that your bathroom is to blame. Faucets, toilets, or lighting systems not meeting current standards could be wasting a ton of your money. Your utility bill isn’t the only one suffering; so is the planet. Roslyn Estates is a village in the Town of North Hempstead in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. It is considered part of the Greater Roslyn area, which is anchored by the Incorporated Village of Roslyn. The population was 1,251 at the 2010 census.
Roslyn Estates was first developed in the early 20th Century (circa 1908) by Dean Alvord, who also developed Prospect Park South in Brooklyn and Belle Terre in Port Jefferson. It was nicknamed “The Eden of Long Island” when originally developed, due to the community’s design and setting.
In 1931, residents decided to try incorporating Roslyn Estates as a village, due to the fact that the original deed restrictions were set to expire around that time. Their efforts to incorporate were successful, and the Village of Roslyn Estates was incorporated on June 8, 1931.
In 1974, Mayor Robert D. Zucker attempted to have the boundaries of the Manhasset Park District redrawn to include the village after the district added an additional 260 parking spaces to the commuter parking fields at the Manhasset Long Island Rail Road station. Zucker stated that many Roslyn Estates residents preferred the Manhasset station over the closer Roslyn station due to the fact that service to/from Pennsylvania Station on the Port Washington Branch is direct, whereas a change at Jamaica is required on the Oyster Bay Branch. By having the district boundaries redrawn to include the village, Roslyn Estates residents would have the ability to be guaranteed a parking space at the Manhasset station for commuting to/from Manhattan. Officials from both North Hempstead and the Manhasset Park District, as well as Manhasset residents lamented the idea, given that Roslyn Estates is not part of the Greater Manhasset area, and felt that the needs of Greater Manhasset should be paramount for the Manhasset Park District. The proposal was ultimately denied.

To put it simply: For a gut bathroom renovation, the answer is usually yes.
Based on trends, the answer is roughly four to five years. Based on the lifetime of bathroom appliances, the answer is a little more difficult to gauge—maybe 15 to 20 years, depending on the quality of the bathtub and/or shower system.
A bathroom remodel can take anywhere from 3-4 weeks, but this answer largely depends on the size of the remodel.
