Things Are Falling Apart

Have your tiles cracked, chipped, or are some even missing? Does your toilet constantly run? How often do the faucets drip? Do you see crumbling grout? Anytime you answer ‘yes’ to any of these questions, it’s definitely time for a bathroom remodeling.

In addition to looking unsightly, falling apart bathrooms are also unsafe. In addition to the fact that using water unnecessarily is bad for the environment, someone can be injured by falling tiles while taking a shower or by an overflowing toilet. It is true that quick fixes may temporarily solve your problem, but they really only address part of the problem. The problem will eventually become bigger if you continue to bandage the problem when it needs a major repair. In addition, why risk harming yourself, others, or the environment? A bathroom remodeler Westbury can save you frustration and avoid potential harm by overhauling your Westbury bathroom.

High Humidity and Strange Odors

If your bathroom gets as hot as a sauna or it has a stale, musty odor, you’ve got a moisture problem. While upgrading the exhaust system could prove to be effective, if there’s a lingering odor, that’s a sign that high humidity levels have cause mold and mildew growth. These naturally occurring organisms can cause major destruction as they eat away at fibrous materials, such as the walls, flooring, and ceiling; they can also pose health risks. Depending on the amount of mold and mildew growth, a total bathroom overhaul is the only way to fix the issue and prevent further damage.

It Isn’t Functioning For Your Family’s Needs

Whether you just need a little more space or additional storage, the Bathroom is your solution. Some families have multiple people to take care of and finding the right layout is essential. Maybe you haven’t noticed, but your water and electric bills are rising each month. If that’s the case, then it’s possible that your bathroom is to blame. Faucets, toilets, or lighting systems not meeting current standards could be wasting a ton of your money. Your utility bill isn’t the only one suffering; so is the planet. Westbury is a village in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 15,404 at the 2020 census.

The first settlers arrived in 1658 in the region known as the Hempstead Plains. Many of the early settlers were Quakers.

Westbury’s Jericho Turnpike, which provides connection to Mineola and Syosset as well as to the Long Island Expressway (or LIE), was once a trail used by the Massapequa Indians. As far back as the 17th century, it served as a divider between the early homesteads north of the Turnpike and the Hempstead Plains to its south. Today, it serves as a state highway complex.

In 1657, Captain John Seaman purchased 12,000 acres (49 km2) from the Algonquian Tribe of the Massapequa Indians. In 1658, Richard Stites and his family built their homestead in this area. Theirs was the only family farm until an English Quaker, Edmond Titus, and his son Samuel joined them and settled in an area of Hempstead Plains, known today as the Village of Westbury. In 1675 Henry Willis, also an English Quaker, named the area “Westbury”, after Westbury, Wiltshire, his hometown in England. Other Quaker families who were also seeking a place to freely express their religious beliefs joined the Tituses and Willises. The first Society of Friends meeting house was built in 1700. The early history of Westbury and that of the Friends are so interconnected that they are essentially the same.

To put it simply: For a gut bathroom renovation, the answer is usually yes.

Based on trends, the answer is roughly four to five years. Based on the lifetime of bathroom appliances, the answer is a little more difficult to gauge—maybe 15 to 20 years, depending on the quality of the bathtub and/or shower system.

A bathroom remodel can take anywhere from 3-4 weeks, but this answer largely depends on the size of the remodel.
